Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer, and songwriter for many years. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured several racial stereotypes, which made her feel like a non-person. The confidence started to build in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her singing. The experience not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she turned 23 she began her career on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old, her movie debut was You've got mail. But her biggest break came when she starred in the character of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The following year, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. She is a popular singer. she has also recorded an album and a musical. She is an activist who works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
